1. QUALITY LABORATORY SUPERVISOR – CHEMICAL Function: Quality Laboratory Department: Quality Division: Quality Position ID: QLTY-024 Reports To: Quality Laboratory Senior Engineer Education Required: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field. Experience Required: Minimum 10 years of experience in the metal industry or quality control. Proven experience in laboratory management and analytical equipment operation. Technical Skills Required: Proficiency in operating OES, ICP, XRF, and other analytical instruments. Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO and ASTM. Soft Skills Required: Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Competence in technical writing and reporting. Other Qualifications: Ability to read and understand technical documents in English. Experience with quality certifications [e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 17025] is a plus. Key Responsibilities: Laboratory Operations Management: Maintain and calibrate lab equipment, ensure safety compliance, conduct staff training. Chemical Analysis and Review: Perform chemical composition analysis [OES, XRF, ICP], prepare and review test results. Quality Assurance Support: Verify chemical conformity of materials, conduct tests based on customer/certification requirements. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare test reports, manage data, investigate quality issues and propose corrective actions. Team Leadership and Training: Assign tasks, manage performance, train new employees and interns on lab procedures. Job Purpose: Oversee chemical analysis of metals and materials used in casting and forging processes. Ensure all materials meet quality standards and customer specifications by managing lab operations and delivering accurate test results.
